Atlanta Hawks with Central Christian Crusaders
September 17, 2015
Dear Central Crusader Parents, I hope this finds you well. God is doing amazing things in our school. I’ll be updating you on those things very soon. We have a wonderful opportunity for our students again this year. The Atlanta Hawks organization has invited us to return to their arena and allow our boys varsity team to play on their court. We pushed them to allow our girls to also play and they have agreed! It is a once in a lifetime opportunity for a varsity basketball player to walk on an NBA court, much less play on one. We are excited beyond words for our boys and girls varsity Crusaders team to be selected to play. The Hawks organization has selected the game between our Atlanta Hawks and the Oklahoma City Thunder to be the game our kids play before. The OKC Thunder is one of the premier teams in the NBA. As with last year, our players can enter the arena and play free of charge as long as they are in the CCS uniform. Players must also purchase a ticket for the Hawks game. Parents and Staff will need to purchase a ticket to watch the Crusaders and Hawks games. If you do not want to stay for the Hawks’ game you will still need to purchase a ticket to watch our kids. If you do decide to go back for the Hawks game you will already have a ticket purchased for admission. Attached to this email is a ticket order form for you to use in purchasing tickets. Complete the order form and return the form and payment to Mrs. Pam or Mrs. Tammy in the front office. We get a very small portion of the proceeds from the sale of the tickets. We encourage you to purchase tickets early as we have been told this game will sell-out quickly. Any tickets you can sell to family or friends will also help our athletic budget immensely. List those on the attached form with payment. The only down-side of the game is that it is played on a school night (Monday, November 30), and does not start until 8:00 that evening. We will make provision for students and families who attend the game to have an excused later arrival to school the next day. More about that in future emails. I must say that it was a fun event last year. We watched the Crusader games and then went into the CNN building’s food court for dinner before the game. We invite you to join us this year. Tickets will sell out quickly. Go Crusaders!!!
