From The Athletic Director

Welcome to the Central Christian School athletics page!

My name is Jerry DeJarnett and it is my distinct honor and privilege to be the Athletic Director of Central.

Our athletic teams compete in the Georgia Association of Private and Parochial Schools (GAPPS). Our teams have excelled in all sports since 1974. Recently, we have won Region Championships in Varsity Girls Softball, Varsity Boys Basketball, Varsity Girls Basketball, and Varsity Football. Varsity Football won three consecutive Region Championships in 2013, 2014, and 2015. They also won a State Championship in 2014, a National Championship in 2014, and was State Runner-Up in 2015. The Varsity Girls Basketball team has won eight consecutive Region Championships and six straight State Championships. They are seeking an unprecedented fourth State Championship during the 2016-2017 year.

All of our athletic teams are led by men and women who are committed to the mission of the school and who serve to disciple young student athletes for Jesus Christ!

Booster Club

The mission of the Central Booster Club is to work, in cooperation with the Athletic Director, the Athletic Department, and the Administration to support and promote the advancement of the athletic programs, facilities, and individual teams offered by Central. The CCBC provides financial and volunteer support to the sports teams, student athletes, the athletic director, and the coaches during the school year.

Throughout the year, the CCBC will meet regularly, hosts special events, and provide ongoing support of Central athletics. Funding support is made possible through Booster donations, sponsorships, advertising, and fundraising.

The CCBC also encourages school spirit and enthusiasm, and volunteerism among our enrolled students and families.

The Booster Club Shall Actively:

  • Promote the athletic programs in an atmosphere consistent with the Christian principles and philosophies of Central Christian School.
  • Promote and encourage volunteerism from its members.
  • Serve at various athletic events in areas such as concessions, keeping the gate, participation in fundraising and more.
  • Sponsor and work with other members in fundraising for all athletic needs.
  • Create opportunities to give back to and support our local community.

Sports Fees

Operating a quality Sports Program is a very expensive endeavor. Because of this tremendous expense, Central Christian assesses Athletic Fees to all individuals who desire to participate in athletes with CCS. Individuals at the varsity level may also be charged for a Player Pack (equipment, apparel. camps, etc) for any items the athletes may keep. This will vary team by team. Student athletes will not be charges for any items that are returned each year to the coach at the end of the season.

Special Note: Student athletes may also be charged a fee for lost, stolen, or damaged uniforms.
